Mission

In Massachusetts, local Boards of Health perform many critical duties to protect public health as outlined in state and local laws and regulations. On Martha’s Vineyard, each of the six towns has a Board of Health, with members elected by Town Meeting and a health agents appointed by the Board. Each town’s agent and supporting staff carry out public health services in their respective communities.

This site showcases the joint efforts of the MV Boards of Health, their implementation of island-wide programs, and guidance for accessing specific information by town.
